Extracts of the press-con segment can be found in various interview from Xinmsn & Toggle Tap.
Against the Tide held a press conference on 19 Sept, followed by a roadshow on 20 Sept. It was one of the biggest (one)-drama roadshow as it was attended by all 8 regular casts (Chris Lee, Rui En, Desmond Tan, Carrie Wong, Xu Bin, Zheng Ge Ping, Zhang Zhen Huan & Paige Chua) and 4 of the "story" casts (Shane Pow, Yuan Shuai, James Seah, Bonnie Loo). This was the first drama roadshow that Chris attended after filming in Taiwan for the past 2 years and we all knew Rui En hardly attended any drama roadshows. I was actually waiting for Today Online to post the press conference segment on their Youtube Channel, but I guess they only decided to release an interview of the casts doing a voting of "Who is most likely a psycho amongst the casts?" Disappointed, but at least we get to see the fun side of Rui En; and her friendship with Carrie. Extracts of the press-con segment can be found in various interview from Xinmsn & Toggle Tap. Photos from Toggle FB Another reason for delay is Channel 8's efficiency in uploading those photos taken during the roadshows to their Facebook page. The photos turned out disappointing (especially after the long wait) but we can really count on those Fan-clubs and Fans who took higher-definition photos and uploading them timely.

3 Wishes (三个愿望) is stated to air after Against the Tide on 27th October 2014. Not much has been revealed for this drama since this is an outsourced production - Wawa Pictures (Game Plan, Marry Me) but I'll try to share as much as I can find. “3 Wishes” tells the tale of Zhao Yao Jin (Thomas Ong), [note: both pictures above reads "Yao Zong" Hmm... this is a drama that is really unsure of their characters' name.] a timid man who gets pushed around at work. Zhao’s life changes when he encounters a spirit who says she will grant him three wishes. Yao Zong is a horse trainer; although he looks timid, he is described to be able to do any sort of scarification in order to protect his family. Huang Biren plays Zhen Shan Mei [literally translate to Very-Kind-Beautiful] Zhao’s gentle, supportive wife in the show. She describes the married couple as very loving. Shane Pow will be acting as a fitness trainer named Zhao Cheng Long [note: first picture above reads "Zhao You Ting" LOL are you making a pun on Taiwanese actor Mark Chao's Chinese name?] in the show. Other than worrying about possible exposure (woolala~) in the drama, the production team complaints that Shane is looking too fair for a fitness trainer. Onscreen daddy, Thomas, even make a remark that he is whiter than the white tee he is wearing. The poor chap was so stressed that he made an appointment to visit the tanning salon on the spot. "Oppa!" ~~ Julie Tan plays Zhao Xiaomin, a crazed Hallyu fan who dreams of becoming a celebrity. Oh guess what? She is obsessed with You Who Came from the Stars! That pretty much what was given for this character as Julie talks about entering the China market (Julie is signed to a Chinese management company called Feng Gu Cultural Communication) and losing out on Star Awards Top 10 in the rest of the interview.
But judging from a photo she posted on Instagram, Xiaomin's dream of becoming a celebrity may not come true after all as she gets knocked-up by her on-screen boyfriend. |
